Developed on six hectares of prime waterfront land at Marina Bay, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is Singapore’s premier performing arts center. It is an addition to the country’s vibrant cultural district which includes the National Gallery of Singapore, Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall and Marina Bay Sands. Other than hosting performing arts, Esplanade also has exhibition spaces and retail outlets.
Designed by DP Architects and Michael Wilford & Partners, visitors will not miss two eye-catching spiky dome-shaped exteriors upon arrival. These twin-domes are lightweight, curve-shaped frames that were fitted with over 7000 triangular glasses and sunshades.
This design allows natural light flowing into the building throughout the day, giving it a dramatic look from the shadow and textures of the building’s materials.

Built between 1869 and 1870, this church, which is also the recipient of Singapore Architectural heritage award in 2016, is a monument to the Chinese Catholic community in Singapore. The building is also the recipient of Singapore Architectural heritage award in 2016.
Marina Bay Sands was one of two winning proposals for Singapore’s first integrated resorts. One of its key attractions is the SkyPark which offers 360 degree views of Singapore skyline.
Founded in 1891, the Sarawak Museum with a combined total floor space of approximately 31,000 square metres, the new museum is expected to be the second largest museum in South East Asia after the National Museum in Singapore.
